Chandra Grahan or Lunar Eclipse will take place for two times in 2010. First Chandra Grahan will be on June 26, 2010 and the second Chandra Grahan will occur on December 21, 2010. The Chandra Grahan occurs on June 26, 2010, is of no significance in India. It is invisible in India. It is the partial lunar eclipse or Pakshik Chandra Grahan. The Chandra Grahan of June 26, 2010, will be visible in Australia, North America, South America, and East Asian countries like China, Hong Kong, North Koria, South Koria, Japan, etc.

The second Chandra Grahan which will occur on December 21, 2010 is Total Lunar Eclipse or Sampoorna Chandra Grahanam or Purna Chandra Grahan. This Chandra Grahan is also not visible in India. It will be visible in South America and North America. People of South and North American countries like Untied States of America, Canada and Mexico can view the total lunar eclipse.

The beginning of Sampoorna Chandra Grahan will be visible in North Europe. In North Europe, grahan takes place just before sunrise. The end of Purna Chandra Grahan will be visible at sunset time in Japan and other countries of North Eastern Asia. The duration of the total lunar eclipse will be 74 minutes starting at 07.40 Universal Time ends at 08.54 Universal Time (UT).
